The dining table is as much a place for conversation as it is for eating, it’s where families regroup after their busy days and where friends can converse for hours. However, this is rather difficult to do if there is only the one person at the table, but this product may be the solution to this problem!
The Teledining Table allows the user to converse with a friend or family member who is in a different location and immerses them in an experience that is as close to eating with them as possible. Positioned at the opposing side of the table is a tall stalk which has a camera mounted on the top, projected directly behind this is the other user, completing the experience.
As a permanent feature in the room, the design had to be carefully considered; the legs seamlessly flow into the table creating an organic and visually engaging form.

Lifespan of furniture are significantly longer than of electronic or technology oriented products. I wanted to respond to this by incorporating detachable and modular components and parts to consider for the differences.
