Cement Your Love For Coffee
Concrete, ideal for building homes and roads but is it good enuf for a coffee machine? Tough question to answer, but apparently we can take Shmuel Linski’s help on this coz he’s designed one. The rugged appeal and the delectable cracks in its form; Espresso Solo looks smoking hot in this cemented avatar! Shmuel has kept the project simple, the machine makes only espresso: short and long. A chamber for the beans and an outlet for water are all that it features. No fuss, just solid love for caffeine and irresistible forms!

I like all things concrete, and this is one of them…

Excellent man. Mad props for this one! Cheers

That looks awesome

I'm guessing the concrete would stain over time as it gets coffee spills and splatters. I'm also guessing that this is supposed to add "character" to the machine.
It certainly has character; I'm not sure what utility is added by making this out of concrete.

Ffs "berkana", stop trolling. Ever heard of art?

Shmuel, you seem to have a lot of support on this which is good. I for one do not find it appealing nor innovative. Good luck with it though.

I don’t consider this art, just a very heavy concrete espresso “thing”. Nicely done though…

very nice. Elegant. I will definitely consider adding it to my kitchen.
Just add the cappuccino option in Titanium, and you're done.

Awesome idea, keep it up!!!
btw, vibrate your molds after the pour to remove air bubbles.

I think shipping will kill most online orders. Maybe it's a one of a kind. It looks cool, but is probably very ineffective.

Why include in the design a place for beans to go in, water to go in, water to go out(with some dissolved coffee in it), but no place for the leftover grounds to come out? For this size, it would probably work better as a ‘pod’ espresso machine, I don’t know how you would squeeze a grinder in to the same space is it has to hold a boiler, pump, etc. too. Just change the icon on the top from beans to a little pod or something
Also, making the spout a curved piece to match the curves on the rest of the machine was a good touch, and would be worthwhile to include in the final piece.

There’s no reason you couldn’t do it, it would just be ridiculously heavy.

Definitely creative. I wonder if it adds any flavor? I don’t think I would want my appliances made out of concrete, but maybe I’m just weird.

Very interesting, very different. I might not have that on my kitchen counter, but it’s pretty cool.
