Just The Right Cover For My High-Heeled Shoes

God help you if you live by the coast where drainage sucks, it’s puring like crazy and its high tide as well! To top it off, citizens callously litter the streets, which end up clogging the gutters! Sounds familiar to me coz I’ve lived through one of the worst city floods due to all of the above, hence the Smooth Cover for city drains sounds fantastic! The cover has slanted slits that are narrow enough to let the rain water pass through but keeps away the trash. And as you can see, they are perfect for those stiletto beauties, no more clipped heels for them! Hurray!

Smooth Cover is an iF Concept Design 2010 winner!

I would like to see a real test with shoes like that.
In which ways she will fall and which not 😛 because I still think she will fall.

And what about cleaning these things? because not everything is bigger than those gaps?

It's a matter time before you have a stiuation where all the possible thing that could make your heels get stuck happen, even though you've done thousands of testing on the worse possible way that you can imagine. Striking with your heel first when you walk, walking the direction the slants are, etc. even with careful testing and analysis freak accidents can happen.

But the matter at hand is more on the rubbish not being able to fall into the drain, non? But what if the rain's heavy enough to bring down small litter like cigarette buds down with it into the slits? As long as there's holes, litter's bound to find their way into the drains if they're not in the trash.

In fact, no oblique angles, they can have this effect. But I am worried about the flood came and obstruction above the water with the waste are also not easily flow into the gutter as. So we do not need such a drain cover!
