Nice idea to bad that having a ring on your finder for the control is not a smooth as you think to manipulate. You have to use two hands in order for it to work a bit easier . For one handed operation it falls short for individuals have diffrent sized thumbs. This has been tested before

So I have not time or knowledge to develop a real patent so here it goes. Take that ring, and put an accelerometer in it. Use the accelerometer to control Anything with gestures. Who wants the tiny buttons. Send me a check if you use this idea. I really need the money.

The design is compact stylish and functional. The concept is solid; allow user remote wireless control of their music while allowing hand mobility alleviating the necessity of picking up, putting down, or potentially loosing a device. I would like to see a OLED flex screen wrapped around this puppy to give the user option of displaying different colors design or effects even though it may result in lower battery life.

You couldn't fit a bluetooth module in it (no one even uses blue tooth anymore, geez.) whereas now we'd probably just make it network capable, touch sensitive systems weren't good enough either (they are now)

dont be do closed minded, apple snobs always get what WE want. maybe it wont fit in a ring(but then look @ the new ipad, we arent that far away from possible, but it will definitly fit in a bracelet and still look kick ass. tbh, if some1 knows how to program, the rest is easy w/ blu tooth and ctc machining(maybe not the touch pad buttons)

Considering that they have blue tooth head sets with display screens that tell you who’s calling and the number as well as displaying text messages. This ring can be easily produced.. Now that the technology is available I would expect one to be coming out any time now.

Why would Apple spend that much money on something so pointless. Control your iPod… Really. If the thing was used to display messages from your phone to you that would make more sense. If you are at work and can’t check your phone often and the iRing displayed to you that ‘you have a message from Mom’ that makes perfect sense. Some of us can’t use our phones at work and this would be something helpful. Or even the ability to reply to messages with the ring using Siri via Bluetooth would make sense, but something to control your iPods music doesn’t make sense. Why spend so much money developing something for such a simple use.
