Floating Island on the Move

The Solar Floating Resort is an example of what the distant future might hold when it comes to architecture, our reliance on renewable resources, and dealing with overpopulation on land. Covered completely in a photovoltaic skin, the resort is 100% self-sufficient and non-polluting.  On top of that, the floating palace is actually a modular system that divides into much smaller components that can be moved and assembled almost anywhere.

Not sure if renderer/draftman just sits there in his or her own table and imagines stuff or really ignorant person. Have you not seen a yacht, boat or ferry before? How can the seat for the captain be on the same level with such limited views?

I, almost, like the design, except for the viewing compartment underneath the boat. This design can’t be used on shallow waters.

  • I’m really loving the theme/design of your website. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems? A few of my blog audience have complained about my site not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Opera. Do you have any tips to help fix this problem?

Love the concept. Are they in or near production???? We have a 10 acre lake that could easily accommodated this. Probably do not need the navigation/captains bit. This area could be a store room/wardrobe. Floating Island could just be tethered as a permanent structure. What are costs. We live in Australia.

    Thanks Kerry
