We’ve been seeing a lot of modular and dual function designs lately here at Yanko Design. It seems multipurpose furniture really is the trend of 2007. Take for instance the Tona Chair designed by Diego Gonazalez King. Its unorthodox shape serves a purpose, actually two purposes. Flipped one way, it’s a chair. Flip it again and it makes for a unique end table.
Designer: Diego Gonzalez King
Nice idea! But only few remarks: two or more chairs cannot be stacked. The unner space can be used successfully.
“borrowed” idea?

looks like a more successful solution than the one in the link.
Looks very similar to something we designed a few years back…

It was very good
It sits very closely aesthetically with the work of artist/designer/architect Frederick Kiesler

and his correalism furniture.
Take a look for yourself and see.
