Its design combines the technology and flexibility of contemporary living areas. The simple construction and assembly create an interesting contrast to its manifold functions. The B-Flat sofa system is a piece of furniture with an innovative and functional design. It consists of individual sofas and various extension and corner elements, which can be freely combined. A distinct feature of the sofa are the low back cushions, which can easily be moved up or down the round guide rail to which they are attached.

The story begins with Starck’s theory of evolution, again we encounter the “super monkey” who first appeared in 2004 wearing the iconic Puma Starck footwear. With his curiosity awakened the Super Monkey continues down the road of evolution and discovers a highly developed species, MAN.

We’ve all seen them before, those sleeves coffee shops pass out to protect your hands from scalding heat. They’re usually made of corrugated cardboard but all fail to miss the duality in that design. The corrugated shape allows the inner circumference to collapse in on itself essentially becoming a flat surface – the perfect coaster for a cold drink. “Change” by Chun-Chia Hsu recognizes that duality and takes it a step further by using only 100% recycled materials.

An espresso machine is a challenging object to design, on the one hand you have to innovate and appeal to the eye, and on the other hand it has to be pragmatic and intuitive to use as is the original design of an espresso machine.
