Hone is a double-duty desk lamp that’s named after the way it gets users to focus on what they’re doing at work. Inspired by the notion that our smartphones can be debilitatingly distracting, the smooth base serves as not only a wireless charging dock but a trigger that slips your phone into “Do Not Disturb” mode as soon as you set it down. Of course, if you must be on call, you can also adjust the lamp’s function to keep your phone active when you need it. Minimalistic yet multifunctional, it seems like this clever design could also be rigged by your bedside and automatically set your alarm when you set your phone down to charge. The possibilities are endless!
