I don’t know why they are called the Light Recycler, but the job of this cute little stub is to enhance the small dots of power indicators that surround us. Tiny dots of lights are all around us…the power on our CPU, gadgets charger, cordless phone hub, etc. So you stick on the Light Recycler, which sorta enhances the mild dim to a catchy glow. Why? Just for the fun of it, Mood Lights, no apparent reason and please don’t look for one either!

wow. I actually cover up those lights, since they are so annoying.
btw, this is not going to work. the intensity is still the same, very very low.
They might be designed to be cute, but I am confident these would be quite useful to at least a million people with moderate vision impairments. Please contact me for more info.
light doesn’t work like this. led’s already have a narrow beam width of maybe 20 to 40 degrees. hold a piece of paper an inch over one and see the dot of light projected onto it. this is the beam. this reflector will focus the tiny amount of light that leaks out of the side of the led, which will make it slightly brighter if you are standing right in front of it (but dimmer from the side). it will not make the led brighter. it will not illuminate the room. it will actually result in a slightly darker room because all the light will be focused to the front. it’s disturbing that someone spent so much time rendering such a stupid concept, and even more disturbing that it’s been picked up by so many blogs.
@JNT8686 – totally agree.
If you’re going to mess about with standby lights, I prefer this:

THIS IS EXTREMELY BAD FOR YOUR EYES
WARNING – DO NOT READ IN THE DARK LIKE THAT
It forces your eyes to focus more concentrated than normal.
You are going to have eye lens problems in the future.
