Egg Chair Celebrates The 50th Anniversary

Egg: the name conjures up images of birth and nature. A nature observed through the eyes of a designer, Nanna Ditzel, who was particularly gifted in interpreting its inspirational values.

Egg is now 50 years old and its reassuring and soft swing still charms those who look for relaxation and cocooning, pleasures to savour during a brief pause or a long break. Today, Bonacina Pierantonio proposes Egg also in a standing version – in order to allow greater mobility and adaptability within the domestic environment – and in a new version for exteriors.

Egg chair for outdoors is made by a weave of Polycore, a lasting synthetic material, charming and in natural color only. This material has special features such as: high resistance against UV rays and weather conditions, non toxic and non polluting, tactile pleasant, extremely resistant and durable. It is recyclable, it can be cleaned with water and neutral soap and it is tested against mould, insects and funguses.

This kind of chair has always looked so comfortable, I remember seeing them on like the Disney Channel a long time ago. I’ve never gotten to sit in one though.
