Tubo – Tree Trunk Lit From Within by Massimo Barbierato

Tubo is a neon tube covered by a maple-wood or chestnut lampshade. It is a wooden cylinder running on a luminous segment. By lowering or heightening this cylinder, you control the amount of light emitted and its chromatic effects. You can opt for a cooler light source (by pulling the neon tube out partially), or a warmer light source (by covering it completely). When the neon is covered, the light is filtered through the wood’s beautiful grains, almost as if it were a tree trunk lit from within. Tubo comes in a variety of sizes and can be hung from the ceiling, attached to the wall, or laid on the ground.
