Decoding The Cries Of A Baby

Who said that maternal (or paternal) instincts come in naturally when you hold your precious little bundle! I went trough a lot of trial and error with my crying baby. I didn’t know if he was crying for more milk, was unwell or wanted more affection. Wish I could re-do those days with something like this BabySays. It’s a device that kinda deciphers the baby’s crying and gives you, the parent an idea of what might be bothering him.

Stone In The Creek

Not all fixtures have to be slick, chromy, and minimal. There’s a place for a little bit of the ornate and organic too. The Stone in the Creek wall basin fixture not only looks good, but can also help save water. There are two modes, straight flow and side flow. The former spills water beneath the stone like a standard tap. The latter spills water 360º around the stone. Much less water is wasted so it’s ideal for washing hands.

Dry, arid climate is so bad for the skin, no matter how much you may lather on the moisturizer; nothing beats the simple formula of H2O. A slab of concrete with a bit of gadgetry gets us this Concrete Block Humidifier, which works with an all-important weight sensor. This is to ensure that a dry, empty bowl gets automatically switched off. Very convenient!

Now, would you buy the theory of stretching a Bamboo fabric across the aluminum frame of the comp to protect its innards? Exitpoint is a sonar based dive navigation and early warning system designed to reduce incidences of divers becoming separated and assist inexperienced divers when navigating in unfamiliar and challenging environments. It allows divers to access real time information on the location of their dive buddy(ies), supervisor and boat quickly. It also features a proximity warning alerting divers who are in danger of swimming out of range, a.k.a. me.

I salute all parents across the world because baby rearing ain’t easy. There’s about a 10 year gap between me and my sister so when she was a baby, I had to prepare her baby formula. It took some trial and error to find the right temp but my life (and hers) would have been so much easier if we had this Baby’s Bottle.

Dining at self-service has one major flaw, cleaning up your mess after you’re through with the meal. Inevitably the trashcan (front loading types seen in fastfoods) is ALWAYS full, or you spill the tray contents while shoving in the mess. Grrr! I hate it! And while I’m trashing trashcan designs, let me also tell you that only a bottle of Purell makes me want to touch those lidded thingies. On the flip side, something like this Click Hybrid Trashcan will make me want to use it pronto.

The Brave Little Light Cable

The entire cord is stays whichever way you style it. It’s got a flexible electrical lining that allows the entire chord to take part in the way the lamp sits. It’s like, totally alive. Every style is unique. Not like those crappy normal lights. Think of all the things you could use this for! I’d bring it with constructing with me. Next we need it to have some A.I. in there so it could go the next step: follow me around and totally snake smart.

Some of us would do anything to shy away from a chore, be it cleaning up or doing the laundry. However our friend Murat Ozveri is trying to entice us into at least wearing clean clothes once in a while thanks to his innovative OVO washing machine. The enticement comes in the form of visual appeal more that practical application however. It’s the spunky colors, ergonomic outlines, lights and disco show that glams-up OVO!

Environmental issues are close to my heart simply because I hate to see us waste so much of our resources. Water is a precious one that we take for granted and like it or not we do waste a lot of it when we take a shower or a soak. Industrious designers are coming up ways to cut back the guilt of a nice hot shower. Take a look at this Ishi Shower for instance.
