Goodness Of Laser Lights On A Watch

Goodness Of Laser Lights On A Watch

I officially declare it the era of weird, whacky and un-conventional watches! Why else do think the Invisible Shot Laser Watch is here. Face of it, it’s a normal bracelet lookin thang, but press a discreet button and a laser light reflects the time on your wrist. Certainly for the night-club-hopping-teeny-boppers, who love their laser pointers.

Let’s Tape Our Time

Let’s Tape Our Time

Ora is a handsome watch that takes a break from the digital and analog era. It comes with an in-your-face style and colors that are energetic. Vibrant as its looks is the system to tell time; three interwoven tapes, yes the measuring kind, move across the face to indicate the hour, minute and day. Fashionable or not, it certainly scores well in the product-design segment.

Boy Are You Stressed

Boy Are You Stressed

I wouldn’t have realized if your watch hadn’t indicted that you’re all stressed up. Like the stress lines on your forehead or the outbreak of pimples are NO indications at ALL! Ok, I’m KIDDING! But really, do we need gadgets and gimmicks to inform of us of our stress levels? Ya-ha, coz we are too reliant on gizmos! My word won’t suffice, so you’re gonna countercheck my claims on something like the StressWatch! A watch that reports the Biofeedback of several body functions.

Shame on me! I’ve been a die-hard Omega Constellation fan all this while and have never looked beyond it. This was till I discovered the treasure trove of watches, right here on Yanko! My mistake, coz I’m not a watches-fetish-kinda-person. I stumbled upon the treasure here, while hunting for something inspirational for my husband, and boy is he going to enjoy this post! Come recount with me some really AWESOME Concept Timepieces, as classy and classic as YD!

Wake Up Little Suzie

Wake Up Little Suzie

Aphelion is this concept alarm clock that has a unique snooze function. When the alarm goes off, a ball flies off its cradle to across the room. This also triggers the snooze function. So in essence if you get up and retrieve the ball and place it in its cradle, it’s not like switching off the alarm. It’s like activating the snooze, so in case you hit the sack again, the ball will be triggered off after 10 minutes or so. You need to manually turn off the alarm switch.

DIY Grass Clock

DIY Grass Clock

Researching for this article I came across the Treehugger post on Ustatic’s Wall Grass Concept. You must understand this concept before you can digest the Hour///Gras Living Wall Clock. Based on Ustatic’s theory that growing grass at home is beneficial, this concept clock encourages you to grow either grass or other suitable plants in a stainless steel and glass body frame and hang it on a wall. The hour and minute hand pass over the patch of grass and trim it via their sharpened edges and help maintain a pre-set level of grass-blade length.

Must there always be a reason to do a giveaway? Hell yes otherwise no one wants to sponsor one!

Luckily for YD and its loyal community, there is a company as honest in its views as ours. I’m talking about the elegant Nooka, who have graciously agreed to do a giveaway for us…simply because they too feel that YD readers DESERVE something special! It’s our (YD& Nooka’s) way of reciprocating loyalty.

For Jogging Underwater

It gets weirder in here every day. Wouldn’t you agree? Today we’ve got the Nooka Zot-V, and it’s a doozie. I’m sure you’re a bit familiar with the NOOKA line of watches, as Yanko’s definitely had some moments in time with them before. And here’s their new deal! It’s wild, it’s weird, it’s entirely Nookatastic: Nooka Zot-V. You’ll be pressing so many buttons that you’ll forget your smartphone at the coffee shop.

Time Is So Orbital

Time Is So Orbital

It’s a good thing you learnt about planets in school; otherwise this Torbit Time-Orbit Watch Concept would have gone over your head. Apparently its been totally inspired by the fascinating movents of planets in their orbit. “The digital numbers on the annular panel display indicates time while moving clockwise around the circumference of the display; also corresponding to the position of where the hands on a traditional watch would have been.” For me, it’s just a cool looking watch that craves for a SWATCH branding.

Get Touchy Feely With Time

Get Touchy Feely With Time

Although the blind will not be able to appreciate the simplistic style of Feel the Time, the practical approach of the design will be well received. The watch face features rotating discs with a tangible nub on each. Feeling the nub helps the blind read the time. Three−dimensional rings distinguish the discs from each other and a flexible membrane protects the face of the watch. A break at the 12’O Clock position acts as the guide for feeling the time accurately. Sight or no sight, the watch will look neat on any wrist.

Different Faces

Different Faces

The UNI watch has a customizable digital face. You can choose fonts, colors, backgrounds and hand designs with just a few clicks in the included software. It’s made of that weird soft touch plastic. Something about that texture keeps me petting it over and over. Even tho the pictures don’t show it very well, the display is a full color OLED. A built-in accelerometer turns the display on only when your wrist turns and the mini-USB port makes it easy to connect to your computer.
