DIY Custom Shelving
I wuvvv the practical design of this shelving system. The shelves of the S03 can be assembled to any size or combination to adapt to the desired space. For easy and cost-efficient transportation, the European beech components fit together snugly to create the smallest, most compact packing size possible.

Simple, clean, etc. However, it appears as if the asymmetry of the pieces necessary to allow the overlap for binding of the unit together does not permit variance in shapes of the end shelving unit given the same starting pieces. A taller shelf would require more end pieces. Weight of the shipped item would be considerable as well given all of the solid wood pieces. What is the material weight? That could be a prohibitive factor to flat pack delivery. One thought for even better packing would be to make the end uprights vary from the internal uprights to allow nesting which isn't possible now. As the design is already asymmetrical, increase of the number of building block types by one is not necessarily prohibitive if there are aesthetic and shipping volume gains.
