Socket Pop for Energy Savings
Unplugging devices is the easiest way to conserve energy and we have seen many attempts in the past to enforce this. However none of them have been this cool and easy as the Eco-socket. Once you are done with using a device, the socket automatically detects lower energy consumption and kinda pops the plug for you! When you need to use it again, simply push in the plug and you are good to go! Energy saved and you didn’t even have to do a thing!
Eco-socket is a 2011 Liteon Award entry.

Wow. That’s pretty smart. It tops all the other plug designs I’ve seen so far.
One question though. How will it tell the difference between off and standby?

What a great idea to save energy. I sure hope they make into the normal stores because I sure want to get some.
