Booby Trap For Dust

Attracto is an air cleaner that uses electrostatic attraction to trap the dust on its surface and then clean it. The reason why TV screens, PCs and electronic devices accumulate so much of dust is because they generate an electrostatic field, which attracts the dust. The Attracto is designed as a glass circular device that is powered by induction. It features two rotating blades that clean the glass once the dust is trapped

The central display is the control hub and allows you to change the intensity of the electrostatic field and the movement of the blades.

Attracto is one of the shortlisted hundred-odd entries at the 2014 Electrolux Design Lab Competition. You can vote for this or any other entry before May 16th.
