Salt for Illumination

Designer Roberto Tweraser has taken that fantastically tasty bit of seasoning you put on everything from spaghetti to soup and turned it into a set of fabulous looking lamps! That’s right, sea salt! Combining only sea salt and a synthetic binder, Tweraser creates here a shade for pendant lamps that are smooth on the outside, unfinished on the in. Unfinished on the inside so that the refractory properties of the salt from the sea can be seen! Such a lovely usage of a naturally beautiful thing!

Not made for eating! Be sure to keep these lamps out of your horse barn, as I’m sure they’d be chomped right up. “SALT” is what these are called, and home furnishings are what they’re intended as. Imagine them also for your restaurant – again, making sure your patrons know not to take a lick!
