John Lennon’s Swiss Army Knife
“All you need is love…” is probably one of the most profound and simple messages ever sung, preached or uttered in the history of the world. John Lennon’s message of peace and harmony is needed today more than ever and the designers of this “Swiss Peace Knife” could not agree more. Taking the cutting edge and negative association away from the words “army” and “knife” and replacing it with a message of love and care, designers Qian Jiang, Yiying Wu and Carolina Flores reinterpret this icon of multi-functionality into a handy pocket tool that houses a pill box, bandages, disinfectant spray and whistle. ” koo koo koo joob” guys, nice job!

neat idea for the most part… but pill dispenser? if you need medication i’m sure there’s a better container than an all-purpose tool.
a flashlight or something would probably work better in its place.

Um…what? Past being supplied to the Swiss Army, I don’t really think the Swiss Army Knife is made to promote or condone war anymore…it’s just kind of…you know, a pocket knife?
I wonder if they have Wenger’s permission to use their logo…?

I’m very sad now. (of course, Both Victorinox and Wenger have been making “swiss army knives without knives” for a while. ….but this is just another way to propagate the idea).
Knives are good, people. Along with opposable thumbs and fire, they helped get us where we are today. (’scuse me now, while I go try to figure out how to attach a blade to my iPhone)
Why does it seem that there is no all-in one with everything we may need? Howabout a combo of the following:
• Lighter from the Victorinox Campflame or SwissFlame (and make it available in the US)
• Scissors from the Wenger knives. The Victorinox scissors suck.
• L.E.D. Flashlight
• That little semi-useless saw, so I can cut through popsicle sticks or something. Seriously, I would prefer a saw handle for replaceable jigsaw blades. Swiss Army hacksaw anyone?
• File
• 1/4″ bit driver
• LOCKING blade. I know the blades are light duty, but non-locking blades are dangerous.

Seriously, I have a swissflame I brought back from Germany. Very cool.
thats a huge list. if you look at a regular swiss army knife, its probably do-able. lighter on the side ( relocating either the toothpick or tweezer), scissors replace flathead w/o bottle opener (you forgot about the beer utensil man!), L.E.D. opposite of the lighter, a saw arm that has a variety of switchable blades, from wood to metal, file replacing mini knife, 1/4 where corkscrew would be (beer is beter anyways), and a locking NON SERATED (cuz serations suck) blade with an Benchmade style axis lock. Im a hobbyist knife maker, this is do-able.

Having been through the cub scouts, boy scouts, an undergrad, and master’s of industrial design program with a swiss army knife in my pocket, I have to say it’s the most versatile tool I have ever owned. The swiss army knife was originally issued as a survival tool than a weapon and to equate the words “army” and “knife” with some kinda evil connotation is the most pc load of crap I have ever heard…

The rape whistle is there because anyone caught with this, is ostensibly a rape victim in the making.
“all u need is love is great”, but man has only gotten where he is today by using tools to dominate over the other animals. Try using this to take down a dinosaur. LOL
Tools are tools, they don’t make the violence (but guns do make for a very unfair advantage) it’s the people behind them, and usually the people who are responsible for the most violence never pick up a tool to do it, they “inspire” other people to do the violence.
I bet the vast majority of swiss army knives have not been used in a violent manor, so there kinda preaching up the wrong tree here.

Any man who would seriously consider buying this should use a traditional swiss army knife to hand over everything that makes him a man to pay for it.. cause thats what your effectively doing to yourself.
Any woman who would seriously consider buying this should be advised to NEVER leave her house under any circumstances, because she obviously has no clue about how dangerous this world is.

listen, anyone resourceful enough can pretty much kill you with any random object. all Neanderthalic political views aside, this is a nice design and a nice idea… just my two cents, no back to your rapping and killing.

The point was simply that they had taken a useful, practical product.. that wasn’t originally designed to be a killing machine, and re-designed it to be “more safe” or “better for the environment” type of politically correct BS!
The original swiss army knife is an innocent bystander and their directing their political views in the wrong direction.

But it would have been better to have used a real ak47 and to have ripped out all the insides. (that way you take a real device for killing and turn it into something useful)
I just feel that this design tries to paint the wrong picture of the original swiss army knife. And thats just not fair.

Do they make one cool things like to put your weed in and your things like a weed lighter and rolling papers and other stuff if so this must be it man they don’t give much room for your stuff I do like the pill box part of this but what about the weed box
