The Germ-inator

The Germ-inator

The HH system offers instant hand disinfection for hospital staff and patient visitors in a more cleanly, fast, and efficient process. Users simply place their hands directly over the unit where two functional solutions are distributed- a hydro-alcoholic solution and plastic micro-ball solution. After scrubbing and washing, users can then place their hands under the unit where a UV DEL light indicates with a white glow areas where bacteria may still exist.

Skyway or the Highway

Skyway or the Highway

As maneuverable as they are, emergency helicopters still have limitations like relatively low speed and limited reach with their large rotors  that prevent them from landing close to objects. The Skyway concept concentrates on eliminating these setbacks by utilizing a unique multi-fan propulsion system that makes it smaller, faster, more stable, safer, and all-in-all better equipped to access emergency situations that even ground ambulances might have trouble getting to. You gotta check out the vid to see how this bad boy works!

Dental Chair of the Future

Dental Chair of the Future

I cringe just thinking about sitting in the chair at the dentist’s office, but I might feel just a little better (and trust the doc’s aesthetic) if it looked like this ultra-modern design by Valerio Tonel. The appearance is simplified and conceals all the complex parts, offering unrestricted clinical access while delivering patient support and comfort.

DIY Pap Smear?!

DIY Pap Smear?!

Sadly, 80% of cervical cancer cases (the 5th most common cancer in women worldwide) occur in low-to-middle income countries where routine checkups & tests aren’t readily available. The Self Smear Test aims to finally provide an economical, easier to operate diagnosis tool that can be operated from the comfort of one’s home. To ensure that users are consistent in their testing, the product includes 6 caps, enough for a 3 year period of testing once every 6 months. Interested to hear what the ladies think about this!

Innovation in Surgical Illumination

Innovation in Surgical Illumination

The APOLLO concept is a modular lighting system that provides flexibility in operating room illumination through the use of laser technology. Using laser light increases luminous efficiency from 170 lumen/watt opposed to LEDs with 100 lumen/watt and allows for more compact dimensions. Built-in sensors adapt to every situation by changing the direction of light and adjusting brightness autonomously as surgeons move around, allowing them to focus on the task at hand without interruption.
