One Hundred Micro Cassettes Is All I Need!
Question: How do you make a unique lamp?
Answer: Use laser cut plexi glass and one hundred translucent micro-cassettes!
I’m talking about the Tape Lamp; gorgeous, snazzy and so DIY, yet classy! Fitted with a 40 watt Vida Large G-16.5 Globe A tribute to the 80’s kitsch style!
Update: Apologies for the error in price, it is indeed for $1200, with a shipping price of $35! Thanks to the many comments that came in pointing out the errata.

The lamp costs $1200. Looks like $35 is only for shipping. http://www.etsy.com/listing/54568354/tape-lamp . I still think it's a good price considering uniqueness of the idea and how instantly classic it looks in terms of design…

Great lamp! Regretfully, there's one flaw in your article. The lamp itself doesn't cost $35.-, but $1,200.-. The shipping costs are $35.-!

So… you've glued cassettes to an acrylic box.

So.. you've glued cassettes to an acrylic box. The photography/photoshop work is excellent though.

35$ for shipping….the actual Tape Lamp costs $1,200. Price aside, I really like the customization with each individual micro-tape.
