MSI brings infinity and beyond to your PC with Toy Story themed build

If you see the headline “Toy Story Turns 30 This Year” and you suddenly felt some pain in your lower back, then you probably grew up with Pixar’s beloved franchise. And yes, the film came out in 1995 so yes, if you were already alive and of sound mind then, accept that we’re old. That doesn’t mean we’re too old to enjoy Toy Story-themed things, if you’re into collecting merch and memorabilia from one of your favorite movies.

If you’re also into themed PC components, you might want to run over to Taiwan right now as MSI is teaming up with Pixar and Disney for a Toy Story PC to celebrate the movie’s 30th anniversary. It’s not unusual to have themed components now but it’s rare to have a prebuilt PC with all of the components having just one theme. In this case, almost all of the components are main and minor characters from the franchise.

Designer: MSI

If the toy astronaut who thought he was a real one is your favorite character, you’ll enjoy the Buzz Lightyear RTX 5070 Gaming Trio GPU with his recognizable white and lime green colors. The motherboard is getting a cowboy makeover as the MSI Z890 Gaming Plus is themed around the movie’s co-lead, Woody. You have yellow and cow-print colors associated with the cowboy with Lenny the Binoculars making a cameo as it adorns the CMOS battery. Even the power supply is Toy Story-fied as the 850W MAG A850GL gets Emperor Zurg’s purple colors.

The Little Green Men are fan favorites even though they are minor characters and the MAG CoreLiquid AIO cooler is designed after them. They even have their famous line “I have been chosen” printed on the side. The MSI MAG PANO 11OR PC case gets its design inspo from the claw machine bringing the entire PC full circle. There’s a joystick and button on the front although it seems to be decorative only.

It wouldn’t be a Toy Story-themed set without other goodies of course. The package includes a set of building blocks (you can use to spell Toy Story), themed magnets, eight character figurines, and a Disney plaque to prove this is a limited collection as there’s a collector’s number. There are also other non-themed components like the Intel Core Ultra 5 245K processor, 32GB of Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB MSI’s Spatium M450 SSD.

The bad news for those who don’t live in Taiwan is that it will only be available there and there are only 500 units available. No news yet if there are plans to bring it to other markets. We’re pretty sure that there will be other Gen Xers and millennials who would love to get their own Toy Story PC.
