Sofa designs so good, they’re impossible to resist: Part 3

A good sofa can really make your life better. Simply plunge into its soft goodness, and let it soak up all your worries. Lay your head back, and lounge about for a while. Whether it’s your home or office space, we all need some super comfy and super plush sofas. So we’ve rounded up some of the best for you!

The Capsule Sofa by Kateryna Sokolova for PALAU is an elongated oval safe haven. Its cocoon-like design allows for complete privacy no matter where you are. Hop into it, and tune out the world. Such a design would be extremely useful in bustling office spaces, where personal space is needed at healthy intervals.

The Lawless Sofa by Evan Fay is a complete mind twister! A concoction of swirling masses hoisted on a metallic base. Something about it just makes me want to dive right into it!

In an attempt to raise awareness about the ever-increasing number of abandoned dogs, Seungji Mun created the Dog House Sofa “to enhance the harmony between humans and their pets”.

Though this seating sculpture by Benjamin Guedj is still a concept, I couldn’t help but get drawn towards its tubular rolls and semi-circular hand rests. Not to mention the plush green color is certainly eye-catching!

The Cloverleaf Sofa by Verpan, as the name suggests resembles a cloverleaf! The cute sofa can be built up like LEGO blocks and comes in upholstery options.

The Conch by Wei He is perfect for sinking right in with your favorite book! With a storage unit below you can have all your books at the tip of your fingers. And not to mention, a winner of The Red Dot Design Concept Award, this seat conforms perfectly to the contours of your body.

The Swing Bed by Poritz and Studio is probably one of my favorites! A sofa that’s also a swing? Lounge about, and gently swing yourself on this hammock-inspired sofa, without the uncomfy little knots you find on a hammock!

A metallic wire entanglement stretched across brown leather! The Soriano Sofa by Afra and Tobia is more of an artistic masterpiece, rather than a sofa! Though it promises to be a comfy one.

The Shell Sofa comes with two small openings at the beginning and end of its structure, making it perhaps the most entertaining play area for a domestic cat by Natalia Komarova.

Felix is a miniature sofa with a mesmerizing canopy that takes inspiration from Mexican architectural designs of the 1950s by Christian Vivanco.

The De Medici by Ihor Havrylenko is as majestic as its name sounds! With the seat and back wrapped in texturally interesting and diverse materials, and with legs of copper, this is a sofa that deserves royal treatment.
