Easy Plugs
Raise Me Up is an electric powerstrip designed to make it easy for one handed operation. Normally you would have to brace a powerstrip with one hand while pull the plug with the other. Raise Me Up uses a simple lever switch to connect and disconnect plugs.
I never knew this was a problem but I guess anything that leaves one hand free for other activities is as Martha would say, “a good thing”.

this is great, especially for when the plug is behind a counch or entertainment center and you can only reach it with one hand.
Maybe it’s so you can unplug your appliances which are using electricity just sitting there. It’s a pain to plug and unplug everything everyday, I think this is a great idea! It’s a convenient energy saver. (There’s a surprisingly large amount of energy wasted when one leaves electronics plugged in)
cheers!
This is great for handicapped people or kids!
Damn….that’s brilliant.
I wonder if this would work as well if I were holding a bagel instead.
Yeah, but this would never work well with wall warts. How convenient is it if you can only use the small plugs?
These would be a nuisance under desks where they could (presumably) easily be unplugged by accident.
I guess none of you guys slip your power strips back behind desks or home theater setups and can only reach back there with one hand at a time. I see it’s uses.
I tried to unplug a drill from an extension cord with just one hand once. I ended up getting my thumb across the plug’s prongs and sending 120V up my arm.
This looks like a much safer solution.
This is one of those “why didn’t someone think of this before” inventions. I’ll buy one the moment I can find one.
