Lumin Lamp or Jellyfish or Deformed Airship?
Inspired by Japanese paper lamps, Lumin is both a modern and simplistic in the way it captures the essence of form while bringing warmth to a space. This lamp was designed to create a moody atmosphere. The organic shape helps soften and diffuse light and encourages different fall off points. Beautiful.

Carl (11/7/08) is obviously an idiot. Just like a-holes, everybody got an opinion…Carl just happens to be that rare combination of an a-hole who HAS an opinion.

This is important work…can’t wait to see more!

I dont know if you can call it important, intersting yes but “important” no. The wire frame/spandex trick is a good one, the vibe is a ww1 wood and fabric aircraft.

In 1960 Achille Castiglioni designed two similar lamps for Flos.
See Viscontea and Taraxacum S, two suspension lamps, both made by Flos.
