Clicquot Loveseat by Karim Rashid
In the tradition of exceptional objects designed for sumptuous entertaining and elegant wine service which Veuve Clicquot has so beautifully adapted to its image, we introduce the first piece of furniture to bear the famous label: the Clicquot Loveseat by Karim Rashid.
A fresh take on an 18th-century armchair, 2 metres long, 1.22 metre high and 85 centimeters wide, the Clicquot Loveseat is as much at home in a chic living room as on a patio.
The design and uses of the Clicquot Loveseat are equally trailblazing. Two huge flower petals join together on a chrom-plated pedestal topped by a “pistil” haped like an ice bucket in the brand’s signature colors. The capacious Clicquot loveseat symbolizes a special form of entertaining, in which a splash of color and a touch of surprise project a refreshing note of originality into your home.

I think it has a obvious “barrier” between the “lovers”. Soft curvs and pink does not automatically make something “love-like”.

Try getting into the “love” mode while in that …………… <– (don’t know what to call it), you’ll have to get up

Its a cute idea and i really like it, I can image them in public spaces but the name and reasoning behind it is all wrong.

This looks alot like the seat(s) shown in the movie “Explorers” ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089114/ )
Near the end of the movie the alien girl and Wolfgang (River Phoenix) are found sitting in almost this exact same chair. (albeit they had a crystal ball like item in the center rather then a wine holder)
