Why is it noteworthy?

You know how we always have to get up to get stuff before we settle into relax mode? Well, this bed was designed to have everything you will need to relax within your bed frame. It’s the ultimate bed to unwind after a long day at work!

What we like

2. Soundbuds

Soundbuds, a new brand of earplugs claims that it will become your new sleeping buddy.

Why is it noteworthy?

What makes it different from the other traditional earplugs is that the earbuds spread through the ear canal area instead of just being inserted into the ear. With this kind of plug, it will not put pressure on your ears even if you wear it for a long time and even if you move around a lot. It will also prevent irritation and even infection from prolonged use as it uses non-toxic and hypo-allergenic materials.

What we like

  • The Soundbuds are made from soft silicone rubber and will mold into your ears so you will not need to try out some custom solution just to be able to make them fit properly
  • The 27dB earplugs has passive noise isolation so it can dampen the ambient noise background but also lets you hear the critical sounds around you

What we dislike

  • No complaints!

3. Bed Pillow

Bed Pillow is on a mission – a mission to let you sleep however you want without worrying about neck and back pain. Most pillows just elevate your head without worrying about its position in relation to your spine.

Why is it noteworthy?

The Bed Pillow has a design that’s as simple as its name. Shaped like a capsule, the pillow is made from memory foam with a concave indentation on its underside. This indented shape supports both back and stomach sleepers, while the wider sides are perfect for side sleepers. Depending on how you sleep, the Bed Pillow keeps your neck aligned appropriately with your spine, so you don’t end up with neck pains.

What we like

  • The pillow uses a BASF memory foam core that offers proper support throughout the entire pillow by absorbing pressure evenly to relax the muscles in your neck, spine, and shoulders
  • Vertical channels running through the pillow also boost air circulation and breathability

What we dislike

  • No complaints!

4. Ember

Ember is a compact electric heater with integrated smart features that allow you to heat your home from anywhere.

Why is it noteworthy?

Spurred by the recent trend toward midcentury-modern design styles, Koleda designed Ember to be subtly elegant with a bronze velodrome-style trim and stainless steel grille. The tastefully subdued appeal of Ember allows it to fit into any living area, from a boho minimalist-style bedroom to a living room filled with Bauhaus aesthetics. The versatile nature of Ember even moves past its looks to pack a lot of punch into such a compact build. Equipped with a heating capacity of 1’200 Watts, Ember can heat up to 215 feet with ease. Inside Ember’s cylindrical center, a ceramic heating element kickstarts the job by evenly distributing instant heat via a silent and powerful built-in fan.

  • Features an accompanying smartphone app that allows users to control their home heating from anywhere
  • Real-Time Cost Monitoring and Smart Scheduling helps users stay on top of their bills and optimize the heating schedule of their Ember devices

What we dislike

5. Floof

Initially designed for our furred friends, the designer has created two human-sized Floofs for the perfect at-home getaway, even for just a few hours. Simply dive in, alone or with a friend or a snack, and curl up into a hopefully comfortable position to while the day away.

Why is it noteworthy?

Most of us had something like a fortress of solitude when we were kids, whether they were made from stacked boxes, piles of pillows, or sheets held up by ropes. As we grew older, we gave up those sacred places in exchange for a simple blanket and pillow. There is no reason not to have that comfortable and comforting space again, no matter how young or old you are. That’s the very tempting proposition that these “cuddle caves” are making if you don’t mind looking like a human inari sushi in the process. Then again, you’re trying to escape from the world’s judging eyes anyway.

What we like

  • Provides a ‘getaway’ within your own home
  • Made to vegan specifications so that it can be used by any and all people

What we dislike

  • No complaints!

6. Vivosmart 5

Vivosmart 5 is a successor to the brand’s Vivosmart 4 fitness tracker launched in 2018. Four years since, there has been a considerable change in the sensors and features included in fitness trackers that present a more streamlined and affordable alternative to high-end smartwatches.

Why is it noteworthy?

Designed for round-the-clock usage, “Vivosmart 5 is there when you need it, and unobstructed when you don’t.” Packaged in a sleeker form factor with easy to read, 66-percent larger OLED display (from the predecessor), the Vivosmart 5 is Garmin’s most advanced sleep tracking band that includes a sleep score feature. It provides information regarding the quantity and quality of a user’s sleep. Using the smart band, users can track heart rate, sleep, and physical activity, and keep tabs on text messages & incoming calls. It is thus made for anyone who wants a simple solution for tracking their well-being and monitoring their oxygen levels and the body’s battery energy & stress levels throughout the day.

What we like

  • Advanced sleep tracking feature
  • The Vivosmart 5 is made for 24/7 wear – with a rounded band that allows the tracking device to fit snugly around the curves of the wrist

What we dislike

  • Lacks an ECG sensor and doesn’t have GPS built-in

7. Google Nest ceiling fan

Just like our appliances, ceiling fans have also received smart treatment in the past. The concept Nest Ceiling fan is a productive and more interesting take on the other smart fans that can only be turned on and off through a smart assistant. This new adaptation of a ceiling fan designed for the Google Nest lineup has been conceived as an all-in-one smart hub that would tie up all the smart products you have spread across each room in the house.

Why is it noteworthy?

As a ceiling fan with a smart speaker, light, thermostat, and smoke detector onboard, the concept fan will allow you to interact through the Google Assistant/app to just one device, thus ensuring you don’t need these products installed separately anywhere in the house. Providing a perfect balance of performance and smart design, this fan in addition to offering cool air, will disperse music from your playlist in every direction of the room with a click of a button or your voice command.

What we like

  • Leaves you with a single contact point to create an interesting smart home setup
  • Embedded with a thermostat to automate the central heating system or an integrated smart smoke detector

What we dislike

  • No complaints!

8. Oblak

Oblak is essentially a smart speaker that walks users through their nightly sleep routines. Through the use of smart technology, Oblak introduces each individual user’s optimal bedtime environment ideal for effective rest.

Why is it noteworthy?

Many factors can contribute to sleep deprivation, but in today’s world, the overconsumption of media on our smartphones is perhaps the leading cause. In order to step away from smart technology doing the work for us, Stanisic takes a holistic approach instead, encouraging users through Oblak to make conscious decisions that benefit their sleep patterns. For instance, Oblak uses NFC technology to register when its user is ready for bed.

What we like

  • NFC technology communicates with the bedroom’s additional smart technology such as lightbulbs and thermostats to transform the bedroom into the ideal environment for good sleep

What we dislike

  • No complaints!

9. The AROMEO Sense

Designed to help you either relax or focus by engaging multiple senses, the AROMEO Sense uses a combination of light, sound, and aroma therapy to bring down your stress levels.

Why is it noteworthy?

With a simple interface that comprises just three buttons, the AROMEO Sense lets you choose between Sleep, Relax, and Focus modes that work at different times of the day depending on the need of the hour and the activity. The Sleep mode uses melatonin-boosting lights, sedative aromas, and gentle sounds to lull you into a state that helps you drift off easily. The Relax mode works better while you’re meditating or just unwinding after a rough day, with light that helps guide your breathing patterns, gentle fragrance, and healing sounds to lower your stress levels. The Focus mode helps guide you into a state of wakefulness and awareness, with cool blue lights that stop your body from producing melatonin – the sleep hormone.

What we like

  • The AROMEO Sense’s IoT solution helps target all senses
  • You can choose your own blend of pods, curating the fragrances you want the AROMEO Sense to disperse, and the same freedom extends to the ability to choose your own soundscapes and light hues.

What we dislike

  • No complaints!

10. Ford’s Lane-Keeping Bed

Designed as a part of the Ford Interventions series, which uses automotive technology to remedy everyday problems, this is the Lane-Keeping Bed. As its name suggests, it prevents bed-space-hoggers from occupying more than half of the bed’s space.

Why is it noteworthy?

We move around a lot when we sleep (some more than others). This often results in inequality when it comes to bed-sharing. You could roll over in your sleep, pushing your partner into a corner, or you’ve got a pet who has no sense of boundaries and has you occupying just 25% of your designated bed space at the end of the day (or night). That’s where Ford’s quirky Lane-Keeping Bed helps bring back the balance. It uses Ford’s Lane-Keeping Aid technology, which monitors road markings to help guide the driver back into the appropriate lane, and a conveyor-mounted mattress that can roll/shift to always make sure your partner (or you) occupies the correct amount of bed space.

What we like

  • The bed uses pressure sensors to know when one person occupies more space than the other, and immediately (and silently) rolls/shifts the mattress in the opposite direction

What we dislike

  • No complaints!
