Subway vents are one of those things us urban dwellers tend to avoid walking over. Not just because of the air blasting out, but because they’re just a little scary! Designed with this in mind, the Air Garden aims to transform these unsightly sidewalk sections into mini green zones within cities.
Built to rest above the vents, the grass planters still allow ventilation for the underlying subway system. The air forced out of the vents moves along the grass blades, causing them to “dance” and creating a unique visual for passersby!
