I still sleep with a nightlight, if you consider the soft pulsing glow of my Mac’s power button a light but since we’re supposed to be living in a era of “green”, we need to find a nightlight that only works while we’re awake. Let’s face, it doesn’t do a thing for us while we’re fast asleep. I’m sure there are timed nightlights out there but how about something with a little more decorum?

Imagine a small grassy area on your wall with rearrangeable hooks to hang your shoes from. That’s the idea behind Hyun Jung Lee’s Shoe Picnic, because every shoe has its place. Now all your friends and family can admire you expensive ass shoes.

The concept behind “sphere” not only considers taking shelter from extreme weather conditions but also reestablishing the feeling of security and companionship without losing ones privacy. The center of “sphere” is constructed as a social place, which consists of single families and inhabitants.

The Rem Vase was inspired by the idea of deadly weapons as consumer product. The designer, Robert Langhorn, A Briton living in Brooklyn, New York, found it fascinating that he could buy weapons and ammunition in the same places that sold general household products.

The Fog Flower is a humidifier thats meant to blend into your home decor. You water it as if it were a plant and watch short plumes of mist shoot up from its spout. There’s enough space in there to eject 3 to 4 hours worth of vapor and on days when you don’t need to use it, stick a flow in it.

The Live Book is a small planter wearing sheep’s clothing – that is to say a book. It’s a great way to jazz up that old book shelf and lets face it. Most of us rarely read our collection of books more than once. If anything, it becomes a display piece and so why not add a little green to it. The removable vase has a simple drainage system and actually opens up into a real book.

It is a soft mobile phone concept. The phone is encased in a flexible plastic housing. A soft polymer insert is located between the microchip module and the casing. You can drop it, bend it, sit on it, toss it around, and give it to Naomi Campbell to throw at her assistant without detriment.

Kohler Steward waterless urinals offer a fresh new design aesthetic while also conserving water resources. The Steward is cartridge-free and utilizes a sealing liquid in the trapway that allows urine to pass through. Once the liquid waste has passed through, the less dense sealing liquid maintains its position at the top of the trapway, thus providing an impermeable barrier that blocks odors.

Capture It Naturally is a clear clock with 4 suction cups meant to stick to a window. It tells time like any ordinary clock but since it’s clear, time now has a visual anchor since you can see straight thru the clock. 7 pm could be accompanied by the setting sun or a soft moonlit glow. Noon could be cloudy and rainy or sunny and bright. It’s a great way to tell time and weather all in once glance.

Perfect for kicking shoes off or slinging clothes over, G-Force is the quintessential wardrobe chair. At 36″ tall, this fiberglass chair is lightweight, sturdy, and super sleek. Its irregular organic shape stems from the idea of malleable materials being exposed to extreme g-forces. Of course we know it’ll end up as a place to leave your clothing on which is why the “head” is perfect for hanging a coat.

You want to enjoy your audio CDs while traveling but you also have a huge MP3 collection at home that you want to take with you. The ideal solution? DMP, a portable music player that supports CD and MP3 files. Use the MP3 player as you normally would, hang it around your neck, clip it on your jeans or place it in your pocket. Otherwise open both sides and insert your favorite CD and you got yourself a CD player my friend. Now that’s music to my ears.
