HelloVon Studios have created an inimitable masterpiece with their limited edition Snow Columbian coffee table. Set to debut at London’s Design Festival as well as next year in Milan. This exquisite piece is made with a Corian base and the Sentry glass top is illustrated with a digitally imprinted design.

Play! began as an exploration of how work and play intertwine. Most parents don’t like changing diapers but any good doctor will tell you it’s important to the bonding experience. Play! enhances that experience by making both you and baby playful. The large hollowed out table does double duty by encouraging play down below. Several cut out holes are perfect for playing a rousing game of peek-a-boo.

Sandbank is an outdoor sofa made out of sandbags, which is inspired by the Kubus seat of Josef Hoffmann and its grid. This stack of cushions can grow or diminish by adding or subtracting pillows and form different configurations from one-seaters to oversized sofas.

Thinner creates the illusion of a thin, weightless surface. Thinner is a table characterized by the elegance of its slender dimensions – just 6 mm of white compact laminate. To gain the required stability the table was constructed like the wing of an aeroplane. Simply sleek and stunning.

Multi-functional furniture is becoming a must have and designers are working hard to produce pieces not only for their functionality, but also for their panache. This modular piece will add quite a bit of conversation to your home or office. The chair/table allows you the ability to comfortably sit and socialize with your houseguests allowing plenty of room for a plate of hors d’oeuvres and champagne glasses.

Designer Sebastian Gronemeyer took inspiration from the delicate forms of orchid leaves to create this unnamed chair. The smooth organic curves are actually quite ergonomic. Both the seat and backrest slightly flex to really mount you in when you sit. Tho thin, the reinforced fiberglass material is plenty strong. They’re supported by tubular steel rods mounted on rubber shocks for extra comfort.

On show in Eindhoven until Sunday 28 October is the latest in Dutch design. During Dutch Design Week virtually all design disciplines – ranging from product design, graphic design, and spatial design to brand design, textile design, and fashion design – are represented in more than 40 large and smaller venues across the city.

In general, furniture is off limits to kids and pets so we shoo them away when they try to build a little fort out of seat cushions or decide it’s their new hiding place. The Restor coffee table by Michael Laut provides plenty of surface area for table use and also includes a soft padded area below for children and pets. And hey, it’s also a great area to rest your feet.

Designer Bram Woo likes to mess with you. No seriously, his designs always play with the notions of function and flexibility. He aims to provoke reactions by making pieces that can adapt to whatever space they’re in. Take for instance this piece from his latest collection, Novela. It’s a shelf with integrated table and seat. How in the world are you gonna use that in your home? Think about that!

Moroso New York will be the first city exhibiting the final version of Tokujin’s Panna chair. The Moroso store at 146 Greene Street in New York is transformed into an ethereal, all-white environment. Tokujin Yoshioka has built an art installation which will show the development of his Panna Chair.
