Slim But Watch It! Wide Load Coming Thru
OM is a wireless, optical mouse with an incredibly slim profile. If you thought Apple’s Magic Mouse was too slim, your hand is probably cramping up just thinking about using this. Wait up tho! Studies show most of the strain on your hands comes from the extremities so this mouse was made extra wide – almost as wide as an average hand to provide full support. At only 10mm at the highest point, it almost feels like you’re using nothing at all – just a bunch of people pawing at their desks. I’d love a picture of that.

Incredibly slim profile = incredibly difficult to apply any sideways force to the mouse. The designers are morons.

I dunno, I’m pretty good at moving even a piece of paper around with my hand on a desk.
RAH says
You don’t need to use force to move your mouse, do you?
Gio says
you need to apply force to move the mouse sideways. Even though you dont need to apply that much it surely does help. Otherwise, you’d need to apply unnecessary strengh downwards to be able to move it in a good way.
It just doesnt seem like a good design when the design is better than its funcionality

Why not just say 1 centimeter?

Because in engineering and design one usually expresses lengths in millimetres.
Tim says
Do you say “1 megameter” or “1000 kilometers”?

Not enough buttons. I am a mouse button junkie, which is why I am still hanging onto my right-handed Logitech MX610.

What about the overall size of it?
AS BIG AS A SANDAL (beach-shoe)!! hahahaha

This is terrible unergonomic. There’s actually an aftermarket addon for the current apple moue that adds thickness to the mouse so it fits the contour of the hand much better. Hands are curved, designers! They aren’t naturally flat nor would a flat mouse be comfortable! Yes it fits better in a briefcase, luggage, or backpack, but it doesn’t fulfill its intended function well.

But what about that ridge in the middle? Maybe you’re supposed to apply force to that?

I don’t think this mouse is practical at all. I mean when I’m moving the cursor around the screen I have to lift the mouse up a couple times to reset it on the mouse mat or I’ll run outta desk. I’m pretty sure that would be a two handed job with this one xD
