The form factor of your cellphone is quite a defining factor on whether you approve of it or not. The grip, the interface and accessibility, all depend on this. At Yanko, we have covered some really unique and unusual forms and here is a re-cap of the Ten Most Unusual Shapes For Mobile Phones.

I have no doubt that in the future we will be seeing some of the designs on this page. The softphone is probably the most practical.

The Brix Phone concept is a very cool and very unique idea! I’m usually 5% for design and 95% for functionality but this one just looks great! Though numerous little magnetic (right?) blocks for a phone is far from practical, the potential applications for such a phone make me smile.

I’m surprised something like the “Pink Phone” that Jude Law uses in David Cronenberg’s film “eXistenZ” didn’t end up on this page, but maybe we’re not quite at bio-engineered phones yet…

I think we're going to see more designs integrating mobile devices into clothing. I'd like a coat that I can plug my phone in and neatly hide it away in the sleeve with a microphone in the collar. Although at the moment it seems as though phones are actually getting bigger rather than smaller.
