Pull Up a Pencil and Have a Seat
Office furniture used to be so boring and old-fashion, yet designers are incorporating a more modern touch to newer designs. This is a good thing; we all can create a better working environment for ourselves with these newer designs. One such design created by Boex 3D Creative Solutions is the Pencil Bench. This bench was designed after having a conversation about designing a piece of furniture from a simple office object. The bench is made from 1600 individual pencils which can also be easily extracted and used. The price for the bench is going for £1200 (2450 USD).

but if you use the pencils, and then sharpen them, won’t the surface be oddly raised and lowered in different places? and what if a pencil breaks? You’ll have empty holes in different spots…

I saw something like this at a design show once, it was a chair covered in foam earplugs,(very comfy!) they’d make a nice set!

i sort of like the idea; very imaginative, but what if it rains? then you have soggy erasers…

Bad idea.
Un-ergonomic. May cause serious injury to user.

Anybody here actually realise that the number of pencil over this small area makes it such that nothing is going to penetrate you? Its the same concept as that of the bed of nails used in certain yoga practices. And about pink furniture comeon just because you dont like pink doesnt mean anybody else does. And anybody able to afford that price for a furniture piece pretty much dont care about what you think anyway.

getting somebody to drop 2400 bucks on 64 dollars worth of pencils stuck in a piece of hardwood: priceless
