The Rail Switch is for all us lazy people who are neatly tucked into bed and don’t want to get up to turn off the lights. Mounted on twin tracks, the switch moves around the room and even features an LED glow, so that you don’t fumble in the dark. I like it for it’s convenience and functionality.

So instead of the convenience of a simple light switch that is in a known place (everyone knows the light switch will be next to the door), you have a switch that could be anywhere in the room – even changing from where it last was. A switch that can in fact also be lost. You have ugly tracks going all round the room that will make redecorating a nightmare. Tracks that anyone can just poke something metal into and get electrocuted.
Or you could just get remote operated lights that are very common now that solve all these problems and require only a really simple retro-fit.
You took every single word out of my mouth …
This is idiotic.
You really make it seem so easy with your presentation however I in finding this topic to be actually one thing that I feel I would never understand. It sort of feels too complex and extremely huge for me. I’m having a look ahead on your subsequent post, I will try to get the hang of it!|
