The Worker lamp is designer Pascal Howe’s first addition to the VDI 2860 collection of “functional sculptures.” The design draws inspiration from his fascination for technical details as well as vinyl toys- a bit of nostalgia from being a child of the 80s and 90s. While the vinyl toys are typically small, The Worker is strikingly large at over four meters high. With the technological and structural intricacies completely visible, the design is complimentary to both industrial and minimal styles and also functions as a durable lighting solution for a variety of work areas.

Ooh, a completely overdesigned but seriously cool lamp! Is this a real product (and in that case – where can I buy one)? Totally industrial robot! =)

Very nice Pascal. The wires do not seem UL, but you have a good concept going here.
