For The Love Of Coffee

For The Love Of Coffee

I think I’ve confessed one too many times that tho I’m a coffee addict, I just can’t spend too much time nurturing it. There are actually freaks like me who LOVE instant coffee and don’t want to do the grinding-percolating routine. Which is why I simply adore this ceramic-glass fusion called Coffee Set. It’s a cup with a slotted bottom that holds in just right amount of coffee powder and water, for you to stir the mixture with the handle. Yup no spoons required! The design gets even more interesting with the saucer, which has a missing bottom!

For shame! You’ve got fabulous taste in wine, you aught to be twisting it up nice in a knot, a “Wine Knot.” Everyone will ohh and ahh! at you when they stick their eyes upon this beautiful wood and metal masterpiece. This piece of wildness is made of two intersecting bent pieces of plywood held up by a simple metal rack. Rack em up!

Food For Thought

Food For Thought

There’s a paradigm shift in the science of food. Fifteen ago proper nutrition meant augmenting the kind of foods you ate. Buzz words like low-carb, low-cal, non-fat, low-glycemic, organic, and natural made their way into our vocabulary and yet we’re becoming fatter and unhealthier. Philips Design envisions a range of products that not only identify the true contents of food, but also how it affects your individual body.

How Simple the Rack

How Simple the Rack

Not that rack. This rack. It’s the “Line.” Designed by Pavel Sidorenko and made to be tied. Made for you modern-headed life-bringers from the city or the small smart towns popping up all over the outside of the big ones. Yes you! I know you’ve got antique stores in your town, but you’ve got to have some of this new loveliness, I know you! If you’d have been born a few years later you’d have been hipsters! As it stands, you’ve just got really good taste. Look at this rack.

Mother Of Modular Kitchens

Mother Of Modular Kitchens

We have seen plenty of modular kitchens and counters, but the Mother of em all is the Accordion Folding Cook Table. Sneaky little triangular drawers pop out from the folds of the table (that’s why it’s called the Accordion). Sliding counter tops and more drawers on the left and right side of the table, makes this the most coveted kitchen platform in my eyes. The beauty doesn’t stop here, drawer covers can be upturned to be used as preparation boards.

Put A Smile On Your Toast

Put A Smile On Your Toast

Does your toast smile at you in the morning or is it a grumpy old man? Quirky as it may sound, I think small nuances (or gimmicks) like this can really make a difference in your day. Bring out your shiny smile for the Smile Cooking Toaster! Think hair straightening iron for a moment, similar to that clasp design is this appliance. Difference lies in the electric-heating nano-membrane and different smiley faces you can use to singe on the bread.

To Kiss With Cold Kindness

To Kiss With Cold Kindness

Here’s a rather warm gesture to be holding such a cold set of objects. It’s an ice bowl made to kiss your hosting problems goodbye! ‘Bear’ this tip in mind: the lips are where the cuteness ends, and the functionality begins. Each of these bowls was made with an anodized aluminum inner layer that can be used to cool 6 Peroni lager bottles (small) or 12 Peroni bottles (large.) In fact, it was made with Peroni in mind, as the designer, Chi Dang, finds Peroni just kissably delicious.

Breakfast In Bed Or Anywhere

Breakfast In Bed Or Anywhere

Breakfast in bed or at Tiffany’s, it doesn’t matter anymore because the adorable Downtown Breakfast Set is what me wants! The modular tray (conceals the lithium-ion battery within) elegantly carries a pad-based coffeemaker, milk foamer, and toaster and is meant to be placed just about anywhere. Question is, what about the ingredients like bread slices, preserves etc. Need to figure out how to make this handier that it already is. But I love this idea!

Cooking Up The Eco Greens

Cooking Up The Eco Greens

The Green Cuisine takes inspiration from the Japanese Teppanyaki steakhouse style of cooking and serving. Hosts and guest get comfy in the cooking area where preparation and consumption form the part of the eco-routine. Food is cooked in appliances like the Healthy Steamer, Smart Kettle & Cups, and Cooking Modules, that work together on an interactive Kitchen Table. The integrated performance indicator monitors and displays energy consumption, giving you a fair idea of how Green you have been!

Kettles in Detail

Kettles in Detail

Folks at Product Tank have redesigned the kettle for many reasons but the focus still remains on easy carrying and filling. Let me get into the specs of this particular design, it’s got an attached lid that flips out and is used as a mechanism to help fill the kettle. The multiple hand grip positions make it easy to carry, fill and pour the water. A hybrid between the traditional and jug handled design; this kettle provides multiple grip points and has thick insulated walls.

Refrigerator That Grows Plants

Refrigerator That Grows Plants

So you lack the green thumb but still love fresh green vegetables. Facts like light, water, temperature, space, moisture, nutrition, supervision and knowledge are all gibberish to you. No worries because Ms Hanna Sandström has been doing some homework for you, she’s worked in sync with Green Fortune & Whirlpool to come up with a refrigerator that will nurture a seed to a plant. Of course it’s restricted to herbs and greens, and details on HOW it would function are sketchy.

For Want of a Lunch Tray

For Want of a Lunch Tray

The cafeteria was lost! What do you consider when you think of a lunch tray? Flat. The plate sits on it, the cup of soda or beer sits wobbling on it too. Well what if it was a bit more minimized? How about if the only kind of food you were eating was noodles, rice, a meat, and some dipping sauce? I know that’s what I eat when i go to my favorite restaurant. Well check out this simple design called the “Palate” – made for cup safety!
