The Island Kitchen Is Finally Here

The Island Kitchen Is Finally Here

Space crunch + kitchen has always equalled to a compromised kitchen. Realistically speaking, designer Massimo Facchinetti has nailed it with his Ecooking vertical kitchen. This single module kitchen is a hub for sustainable cooking. The technologies of the project highlight energy-saving systems, and come integrated with an internal retrieval of energy system. This is achieved thanks to the close proximity and interaction of appliances with each other and the exchange of heat and moisture.

Bird Feeder, Sofas And More…

Polish designer Jan Kochański showcased his studio projects to us and we simply loved his unique take on furniture and product design. I loved the simple yet artistically developed Fiu Fiu bird feeder and the MobiUse – mass use mobile chairs made from paper pulp. Hit the jump to experience some innovative and thought provoking projects.

It’s an age-old agenda, to have the perfect setup that allows you to work on the computer endlessly and yet maintain the correct posture. Time and again specialists insist and designers execute ideas that support an ergonomic table and chair, ideal for computer usage. Biuro is just that. Biuro is an ergonomic desk for appropriate laptop use. It is meant to avoid musculoskeletal problems caused by a wrong posture. It allows the user to have a better position while working on this laptop, thanks to a tablet, which raises the height of the screen.

Stunning Achromatic Studio

Stunning Achromatic Studio

This modern studio is all about openness and transparency from one section to the next- so much so that anyone with privacy issues might find themselves feeling vulnerable. Corner to corner, the viewer’s perspective shifts from light to dark, inside to out. The minimal aesthetic is contrasted by dark grey tones and raw textures of concrete, wood, marble and steel. A single colorful object, designer Igor Sirotov’s signature rubber duck, is hiding somewhere – see if you can find it.

The Power Of Musical Resonance And Décor

The Power Of Musical Resonance And Décor

There is a reason why they say that music is a universal language that transcends all boundaries. It is powerful enough to break all barriers and yet potent enough to create the most memorable moments of our lives. For example, how many of you have that ‘our song’ with the one you love? Now imagine converting the intensity of that music into Spectrum Decor Artwork or maybe a recorded ‘I Love You’ sound waves for Resonant Decor!

Walk-In Wardrobe

Walk-In Wardrobe

Having a walk-in closet is the envy of everyone who lives in smaller spaces where you have to get clever with storing all your clothes. This well-thought wardrobe design is the next best thing. Unlike standard wardrobes where clothes get lost in the darkness (and in turn never worn), it focuses on sensible arrangement and makes sure every item is visible at all times. Better yet, it really feels like a walk-in closet, making it a perfect solution for compact living.

Clamping The Wood For Furniture

Clamping The Wood For Furniture

It started off as a project exploring the possible ways of using clamps, and soon the Holdfast assignment stumbled into this eclectic range of exciting furniture. The idea was to employ clamps as tools as well as fasteners and are fashioned to reflect simplicity. They are based on the holdfast clamping system that holds materials to the surface of a workbench.

I Shot the Sheriff

I Shot the Sheriff

And before you squeal on me, just know that the gun was a doorknob; a Gunshot Doorknob! I agree that we have enough of violence that permeates our subconscious mind. But for those who love lightsabers and think BB Guns are good fun, a quirky knob will be just that….quirky!

The Quick-Shelter Door

The Quick-Shelter Door

Love the simplicity of this door, which provides an emergency shelter during an earthquake. It collapses from the center to form a reinforced tent, under which you can huddle till the shockwaves subside. This door can be any door in the house and office. And if for a moment we keep aesthetics aside, just imagine how many people it can end up benefitting. Love it!
