Reebok Timetanium Ventilator

Reebok Timetanium Ventilator

We see a lot of products today from large companies teaming up with artists and designers but very few catch our attention like the Reebok Timetanium Ventilator designed by John Maeda. The man is a world renowned artist, graphic designer, and computer scientist , and more recently author. So it comes to no surprise when he and Reebok teamed up, the end result would be more than just eye candy.

Tanning Benefits - A Tattoo

Tanning Benefits – A Tattoo

Ask anybody and you’re bound to get varying opinions on tan lines. I myself don’t have a problem with it, unless it’s that weird arm one. For some reason that irks me. The next time you tan, why not grab a Sun Tattoo and put those UV rays into good use.

The Bored Jacket

Takkiainen is a jacket for lonely or bored people. It is designed to help the wearer to get in contact with others. Since we brush against each other every day as we move around in the city, we can use our clothes as a medium for meeting people and communicating with them.

Matrix Bathrobe

Matrix Bathrobe

For its creation, designer Lens uses an enormous expanse of material. The pattern is based on the movement of dancing Dervishes, or the fighting matrix: when you pirouette you get the same effect. The collar is one large, rolled-up bath towel. The belt is attached so that there is no chance of misplacing it. Everything is a little oversized, even the sleeves, which you can double back completely. The result is a dashing, hussar-like appearance.

Adaptive Knitwear

Adaptive Knitwear

Adaptive knitwear combines simplicity, function, and aesthetic appeal into a very wearable clothing concept. Clothing in which various pieces attach/detach easily depending on the climate conditions is at the root of this concept. This set consists of a short-sleeved shrug, detachable wool or cotton sleeves and a warm collar that can also detach from the main piece.

Mobius Dress - Inside Outside Garment by My Studio

Mobius Dress – Inside Outside Garment by My Studio

The Mobius Dress proposes an inherently inside-out and outside-in garment. The Mobius Loop, applied to the body, creates one continuous loop designed to turn inside out as it unravels. Because the Mobius strip is one-sided, one-edged and has no fixed orientation, the Felt material used for the dress also has no hierarchy, no warp and no weft.

An exploration of tangible vs virtual in relation to real and perceived value. Using google image search, we browsed through some of the most expensive and often famous jewelry in the world, the low-res images we found were stolen, doctored, then transferred to leather, creating a tangible new incarnation.
