Cooking Starts In The Garden

Cooking Starts In The Garden

It would be so easy to have your own vegetable patch to source fresh veggies and herbs from. There are two main obstacles though: lack of space and lack of a green thumb. To solve these two issues we have here the “Little Helper’ a cultivation pot with a combining app. The idea behind it is to help us grow and harvest our own vegetables and eat healthier (think GMO and Pesticides). I quite agree!

Laundry Gets Dynamic

Laundry Gets Dynamic

The Dynamo is a fabric sterilizer that syncs with the everyday lifestyle of its user. It’s a small handy washing machine for one to three garments, which works on Kinetic Energy. You simply load the machine and wind it up. As it slowly winds down (in a bouncing motion), it steam-washes the laundry batch, making you save on resources like water, electricity, money and time. In fifteen minutes flat, you have freshly laundered clothes and good to go!

Mind Over Food

Mind Over Food

Mind Power is potent and it can manipulate or simulate circumstances that may seem fictitious and surreal. Based on this premise is the plate and glass combo of the ‘SET TO MIMIC’ tableware. The idea is to put a microchip in us, which interacts with our brain cells so that it can register smells, tastes and textures of our favorite food. When bland or ‘health foods’ are placed on the plate, the microchip manipulates our senses to feel as if we are eating our favorite food.

The Modern Man's Moka Pot

The Modern Man’s Moka Pot

Peter Dudas’ slimOKA gives you the rich, authentic coffee taste of the classic moka pot with the convenience of a modern coffee maker. In black or silver anodized aluminum or steel, its aesthetic is also a modern twist on the classic. At the heart of the design is an electronic system that steam heats coffee with the press of a button, alerts the user with an audible tone when finished, and automatically lowers temperature to keep coffee warm without burning it. Unlike stovetop moka pots which you have to keep an eye on, you can set it and forget it!

Cleaning By Deception

Cleaning By Deception

The Dustrap is based on the design of the age-old fish trap, where a wide, open mouth lures in the fish and entraps it. Similarly, the wide mouth sucks in the dirt, bacteria and other yucky goop, and keeping it contained till you need to dispose it. Let’s call it the new-age dust buster!

Love this eccentric mix of a humidifier and moss, both co-dependent and beautifully juxtaposition with each other. Natural and artificial elements placed as functional pieces giving birth to a hybrid device.

The External Green House

The External Green House

The Garden Pod has one big thing working in its favor – it utilizes the external walls of a dwelling rather than clamoring for space indoors. This modular green house is designed so that it can be fitted onto exteriors of a building and can take advantage of the natural energy sources. A handy app allows you to control the setting of the pod and also relays essential information such as which vegetable is ripe enough and how much compost is available.
