Crumpler Chinese New Year Collection

The CNY Collection is an exclusive range of bags for many reasons; first off it’ s a Limited Edition that comes in striking red, the color of good fortune and joy. The lineup is dedicated to the Year of the Rabbit and this includes detailing like bright crimson lining with great origami rabbit print. And finally, a very cute rabbit shaped red and gold metal charm completes the festive look of the creations.

This is what you win:

The Herbas is a smart bag iPad Bag crafted from a single piece of fabric. The front pocket holds the cables and chargers and the external pocket packs in documents. What’s cute about is the small coin pocket!

AND

The Freckle is an uber chic case for your phone and compliments the entire collection of bags.

Let’ s look at the rest of the amazing bags in this collection:

The Hillman Hunter is a small sized messenger bag that features dual Velcro flap seals, closure straps, and a reflective strip.

The Headaitch Tote is compact, yet roomy enough to carry plenty of things. It features a large main compartment and many sealable internal and external pockets.

The Goldschlager’ s Carpet is a slim laptop sleeve that expands (via gusseted sides) to fit in a 15-inch laptop. The brushed and padded polyester interior keeps the notebook safe and the water resistant 300D Rip-stop exterior weathers the elements perfectly.

The Squid is a stowaway and lightweight drawstring backpack for those on the go. It flits comfortably from being a daypack to a handy laundry bag. It’ s the perfect bag in a bag!

The Rabbit Keychain is a rabbit shaped red and gold metal charm – the perfect accessory for a bunch of keys.

The rabbit origami detailing.

The Crumpler CNY collection is currently available online at Crumpler.

The Squid would be THE bag for me! I am taking a trip to Shanghai next month, and I can see so many uses for this bag. Starting from the plane ride which only allows one free baggage check-in, the Squid would allow me to bring more items on board without exceeding the size restrictions for carry-on. Then when I arrive, I can use the backpack to tote my camera around while exploring the city. Another plus is that, since I learned that you have to pay for plastic bags at the Shanghai supermarkets, this bag will help me save some money (and the environment) as I can probably fit most of what I would need in there. And best of all, red and gold are lucky colors in China!

I would prefer the Hillman Hunter. It is small enough for daily needs and not too bulky compared to my other crumplers.

I’d totally pick the Rabbit Keychain, since its both a super useful and stylish way to keep track of your keys!

Though if I *had* to pick a bag, I’d go with the Squid. As an avid gym-goer, it looks like it could totally fit a pair of sneakers (whereas most regular bags can’t without being insanely huge) and the drawstrings make for easy opening and closing!

The squid definitely, I love drawstrings, but it's also like a workable backpack without feeling like a clumpy backpack.

  • Taylor says:

I'd have to go for the Squid, based solely on the fact that it is of useful size and sits on one's back. The Hunter is more strap then bag, fine as a fashion accessory, but not very useful. As for the others, I prefer a bag that goes on my back, my phone is a brick, I do not have a laptop, and anything that can fit in a "murse," or purse for that matter, can fit in one's pockets.

  • I’d pick the Hilman Hunter because all bags should have reflective strips. Plus it can hold my mobile electronics and a sketch book.

  • WTJ says:

Hillman Hunter as it can be easily carried around in a really cool style.

I would pick the Headaitch Tote for myself.
Its Girlie, Roomy, and Strong + easy on my shoulders (since the straps are wide.)

I'm a design student who lugs a lot of stuff to school, which means only one thing: HUGE TOTE BAGS. I would love the Headaitch Tote because it looks roomy enough to store all my drawing supplies such as extra long rulers and 11×17 portfolio folders and soft enough to stash my laptop! Also, the length of the shoulder straps look long enough for me to comfortably hoist over my shoulder. This is stylish, durable, and has a bold red color. Ill never lose it!
