Cooler Than A Mushroom
We normally think of central air conditioners as large cube shaped metal crates that do nothing for a building’s figure but the Mushroom AHU (air handling unit) proves design can make a world a difference. Apparently the shape of a mushroom is well suited to circulate air. One day, large buildings may have clusters of mushrooms in alleys and rooftops. I love the idea if it works but I’m more concerned about art imitating life. Are my Super Mario dreams coming true?

It looks amazing however surely its diamiter is greater than anormal box AHU so it will take up mor space. this could cause problems in narrow allyways unless you can tweek the design slightly to mount them on walls? Make them seem that they are growing out of the wall? Also if it is ont the ground small children might mistake it for a toy and try to fit on the top o fit and as the fan i facing upwards that could be a slight health problem. Although it looks amazing! There is some great thought put into the inner componants and their shape and fitting. I would love to have one of these growing out of the side of my house!

As there is a push for heat pumps as a means for domestic heating in the UK this would sit well in this setting, have you allowed for the compressor to sit in stem and have you been able to calculate the cool of the fins?
