So you don’t want to join pencil stubs and make a long pencil. No worries, we have another alternative, how about using them to print on paper. Yes, like a printer that uses pencil to print your documents. Traditional don’t you think? I feel the concept gets even more radical because it proposes the use of eraser to erase off mistakes! Do I hear my office scream in delight; no more cartridge woes!

Interesting idea but I wonder how one plans to make the graphite stick to the paper. By electrostatic force and heat like with toner, it won’t work I guess. By inkjet printing? It would need a carrier, some sort of fluid. And expecting that the graphite sticks to the surface after the solution has dried would be another problem.
And instead of wasting a pencil (and wood), one could simply buy graphite in powder or fill the printer with a solid block of graphite that would be grinded by the machine.
Neat idea. But ill go thru so many pencils it will be cheaper to buy ink cartridges.
When is this coming to the electronics stores? Want one.
I’m skeptical. Pretty keen to see one in action though!
A creative product for sure but personally I doubt we’ll ever see one in action as it’s a touch wasteful.
Very interested…
Are you sure it will work? At least like a toy. 🙂
i would love this if it ever was made. the concept is well done, of course from a logical point there are some issues but nonetheless it is a nice idea. let me just point out that there is this thing that a lot of people have never heard of or have ever used, it’s call a carbon paper typewriter…now i know that it’s not exactly cutting edge but, back in the day, all you needed was to type directly into this magic machine exactly what you wanted and it would use carbon paper to(get this)print onto paper using graphite and was in fact eraseable. the downside, having to purchase carbon paper. sadly this is practically extinct and is only used by us old folks, such a shame…
I love new gadgets.
this is really neat idea.
the problem is I haven’t used a real pencil in decades.
I would have to buy pencils to be able to use this new idea.
Is this item open to purchase yet?
Yeah, but how many pencils can you buyfor the price of a cartridge?
True
Excellent idea but… lead?! Lead pencils are made of graphite, not lead.
And it needs to be sure if wood can be burned easily and safely. This idea must be polished, but I think its a very good concept. Congratulations!
great thing . my first project is on this new thing.i got full marks in it
Amazing!
Can I please know if this is available in dubai, uae. And the price please.
I would love to buy one. I would like to know when it’s in stores.
I would love to buy one. I would like to know when it’s in stores. Also where does the paper go?
1) the ashes is a different form of carbon and doesn’t print as well as graphite
2) People buy erasers all the time
3) There has to be some storage space, say, below the printer or an attachment. It’s useful for erasing previous documents.
4) Some erasers don’t have as much dust, define “keeping in cartriges”.
What a great concept! – I’m sure this would prove incredibly popular. Would love to hear more if it comes into development.
So what happens if the pencil needs sharpening does the printer sharpen it? Also, what happen if you put a pen in it so it looks better than pencil?
Seems like a good idea in theory, but I don’t think it will save anything. I don’t print anything unless I need to, and with the intention to keep it. It seems about a green as the water-dissolvable cell phone. Kind of a bad idea.

Brilliant idea… Why not… I hope to see this product in market . I would definitely buy one and use . Forget those sceptics …
I would be very interested in one of these for comic art purposes since it would make cross page/ computer composition a lot easier, since comic artists have to deliver their art in pencil which makes a lot of the fiddly bits a million times more tricky than most people would believe.
Brilliant concept for a printer and I especially like that it would be able to erase letters on the paper and that it is environment friendly.
this invention is truely helpful for all of us …..
Awesome idea, I don’t think it will replace an inkjet printer but as a concept it looks great
Curious. Why not just retrofit an old pen jet plotter with pencils?
hella. less. expensive.
Really amazing printers to print any type of design. Can you please tell me from where, I can buy this product??
You obviously don’t print that much. Printers and computers have issues communicating all the time and print the wrong thing.
