Back to basics and loving it!

Back to basics and loving it!

This utilitarian e-Ink phone by FormNation was designed for those who have better things to do than flick angry birds and flying pigs! It leaves behind the extraneous and instead is packed with powerful essentials like calendar, contacts, e-reading, and email apps. Everything you need and nothing you don’t! Thanks to its e-ink display and straightforward functionality, it can last an entire month on one charge. Yes, it lacks a vivid color display. But think of it as the difference between full color versus artistic black and white photography.

Refrigerators Are Now Food Conservation Systems

Refrigerators Are Now Food Conservation Systems

They say words have power – for example don’t call it a bowl of veggies, call it a bowl of stir-fried exotic vegetables with tangy sauce, dollops of butter and a dash of crushed pepper to spice it up. Salivating? Likewise, new-age refrigerators are Intelligent Food Conservation Systems with a dash of Innovation. The Izotz is one such appliance that has some interesting features – read on to know more.

e-Ink Your Smartphone

e-Ink Your Smartphone

InkCase+ is a stand-alone 3.5-inch e-ink screen that can either be inserted into a dedicated smartphone case or used as an auxiliary second screen. The design will also let consumers infinitely personalize their phone case with images and allow notifications to be pushed to the low power e-ink screen. This means that when users want to check their notifications or even read a book, there’s no need to power on the main screen as the InkCase+ is always on.

Digital Love Notes

Digital Love Notes

With the advent of technology, the simple art of writing notes using pen and paper has literally gone down the toilet. Look at us, always with a stylus or on a keyboard, but never with a pen in hand! The Exchange is an innovative device that bridges this gap. It allows you take digital notes with a special pen, and can store it or let you share it with others in real-time.

A speaker as good alive as dead.

A speaker as good alive as dead.

We’d like to believe our beloved devices will last us a lifetime, but they all have an expiration date whether it’s because we upgrade or they fail to continue working. Most current electronics are wrongly designed around our false trust that they will last forever, & therefore pay little attention to the product’s afterlife. The ORBiS Bluetooth speaker is not one of these products! Each & every component was thoughtfully crafted with awareness to it’s impermanence. As much as possible, it’s recyclable, salvageable, fixable & safely disposable. All without sacrificing functionality or beauty!

Mind Over Food

Mind Over Food

Mind Power is potent and it can manipulate or simulate circumstances that may seem fictitious and surreal. Based on this premise is the plate and glass combo of the ‘SET TO MIMIC’ tableware. The idea is to put a microchip in us, which interacts with our brain cells so that it can register smells, tastes and textures of our favorite food. When bland or ‘health foods’ are placed on the plate, the microchip manipulates our senses to feel as if we are eating our favorite food.

Living in the U Bubble

Living in the U Bubble

The U-Bubble is a refrigerator that can be suspended in air and is inspired by the soap bubbles that we love so much. It’s basically this plastic construction that is temperature controlled and works with your smart devices. Like most advanced apps, it relays critical food info like quality and freshness state. With the social aspect you can compare food habits and trade recipes with friends.

Always Take The Weather With You

Always Take The Weather With You

Love the song and the deep meaning of taking the weather with you, albeit only if it’s sunshine and cheery! The thing with weather predictions in most countries is that it’s the most unreliable news relayed on the TV Channels. For example, in my hometown if the station predicts a sunny day, be assured it’s going to rain heavy! To remove this ambiguity about the weather, we have here the StormTag – your personalized weather station.
