Time For A Griffin Emblem Watch

Time For A Griffin Emblem Watch

No matter how many digital versions you may get, none can replace the romanticism of owning a mechanical watch. It has the advantage of living through generations, and being passed on the family as a legacy. The showcasing of the movement through a skeletonized dial, the magic of the construction … irreplaceable! Perhaps this is why we encourage innovations like the Griffin Emblem Watch.

Virtual Fashion is Here

Virtual Fashion is Here

This Fits Me is a collaborative project that combines fashion with generative design, a technique most often used in architecture to make structures not static, but dynamic to adjust to the environment. Similarly, this digital process allows garments to adjust to the wearer. After a 3D body scan, the wearer’s precise measurements are applied to an algorithm so material can be laser cut & stitched for fitting. In just a few clicks, complex designs can be created that would otherwise be too time consuming to measure & manufacture. Vid after the jump!

12 O'clock Somewhere

12 O’clock Somewhere

12:00 on a watch face marks the end of a day for someone, but it also means the beginning of a new day for someone else. Inspired by this relationship, Reset is a modern timepiece that displays user-defined points in time to indicate daylight hours in other parts of the world where family and friends may be. Represented in a linear form across the face, wearers can easily tell if they’re within an appropriate time to call, or simply be reminded their loved ones are starting a new day.

If James Bond Wore a Smartwatch

If James Bond Wore a Smartwatch

Most smartwatch designs are focused around ultra-minimal, even futuristic styling with either a monocoque band or simplistic rubber strap and square interface… but that look isn’t for everyone! The HTC Omni stands alone as the smartwatch for users who don’t want to sacrifice classic watch style for smart technology. The design features a traditional metal linked band in gold, silver or black and an elongated interface that almost looks like it was simply dropped into an existing formal watch face. It’s digital tech gone dapper!
