Trend Report: Too Late Watch
They’re a huge hit in Italy, over 10,000 watches sold in the first 10 days and half a million in the first year of distribution. The waterproof version was just released this past September. The Too Late Watch is the most simplistic of simple timepieces with nothing more than a monochrome digital readout. Hell, it doesn’t even have an alarm function but it does come in a bazillion colors.
According to our trend hunters, Italian urbanites are wearing 2, even 3 of them together. One for each time zone perhaps? School kids have them in their school colors and college kids are doing their best to support their favorite soccer times.

its a fad, but what a fad!! you cant ignore the mass hysteria that comes and goes with products like these, remember tamagochi? love it or hate it popular culture can certainly shift products if its targeted right..! bravo

$30 USD? It looks like something that comes free with a kid’s meal or at the bottom of a cereal box.

Funny, I was got one of these for free when I saw WALL-E on its opening weekend. It just said WALL-E on the front in a similar raised manner and had poor raised graphics on either side, other than that it was identical. This was free and was meant as a giveaway for children, $30 seems a little excessive.

i have seen on facebook there are now covers for these watches which make them really cooooooool!!! they have a funny name… “popochos”… do you know them?
