Come On Baby Light My Fire…
Looking for new ways to ignite the fire between you and your true love? “Matchlight” is the answer for you. Designed as a mood lighting concept, the romantic glow of the sixteen matchsticks can “light” the way for the atmosphere you are looking to attain. The magnetized body of each matchstick allows each member to affix with other members of the piece allowing the viewer to create geometrical shapes and patterns.

Great idea!
But I’d like to know if this could be considered inapropiate for ‘corporate people’, because I’m organizing a night meeting, and so far I only have considered this for my gifts:

I don’t think induction would work for this. You need to align the matchsticks in a specific direction for induction to work. Otherwise a small amount of matches would be lit, most would be lit dimly, others not at all. Also, an inductor powerful enough to light all those lights probably wouldn’t fit inside a match. Maybe if you placed the matches on a plate, which contained a large inductor.
chetan sorab says
Appreciate your feedback but here the length of the matchlight is around 30 cm, which
is quite sufficient to hold the technology.

I think this would make great outdoor decoration. You know, in place of a fire, maybe at a dinner party.
