How Cool Can a Flip Phone Get?

How many “flips” does it take to make your Smartphone super-sexy. The answer? Three flexible AMOLED touchscreens and a keyboard on the reverse! Here’s what the Flip Phone feels like: a smart triangular piece held together with soft steel mesh hinges, hosting a custom flavor of Android. The boundaries of a PC and phone have smudged-up big time and this is a sample of what that future looks like. I love it!

I like the design – very different to the iphone and similar ones in the marketplace at present. Looks sleek in movement but would be concerned about mechanisms after a year of use. I would purchase one if it comes out.

What's with all those "where can i buy this?" comments?! It's a CONCEPT! In other words: it'll never hit the market like this!
First, who needs three screens, especially this small? People are already annoyed with short battery life as it is and those would drain that puppy's energy supply in a heartbeat. Secondly, even with newer and thinner screens this phone would still be a brick to carry along because there's no way it would hit stores that thin with all those mentioned functions. Thirdly, the video is a stylish way of presenting the produkt, but some of those usage ideas just seem way off. I mean, who needs their phone to hold a flower? Also, try reading an electronic book on a screen that fits in your palm….
It's a nice presentation and product design, but would fail in the real world, period. Be realistic people, please!

This is one of those that doesn't make any sense. Sure, I'd love to have three screens so it can switch from phone to pseudo-tablet, but unless you have an extension cord, that won't work.

1AMOLED, 2 eink screens, maybe. Made so you don't HAVE to use the AMOLED screen… then it might have passible battery life.

Absolutely amazing to say the least! I currently have a Android powered HTC EVO and love it. This phone of yours would be my dream phone and I don't see a single fault in it at all.

If this phone cost $600-700, I'd still buy it. but I know it could be done and sold for way less than that.

It would be the iPhone killer for sure!!! Get these renderings over to HTC… If Nokia won't get on it, I am sure HTC could pull
    it off!

    Very nice!!!

I'm going crazy over this! Its so amazing, and if it has the power that's in store for all the new Android devices, this is going to be a titan in the mobile technology market. I agree with everyone that's saying you need to get this design into a manufacturer's hands. But it should be not tied to any service, like the Nexus S.

I agree with the people above me, it has advantages and disadvantages. Unfortunately the battery life won't last UNLESS did you guys notice that when she flipped screen the ones on back would go off so she wouldn't flip the page or mess up the other ones on back. If that is correct then it actually would have a decent battery life. I've been trying to talk to Kristian via email and am awaiting reply. If she tells me anything i''ll post it somewhere on a blog and on this blog.
also I don't think the mesh side idea is good or how easily and fast it snaps open (murmur DANGEROUS!! murmur)
