The Pick Up and Play concept explores adding a tangible element to the service, using a compact speaker and touch-screen cubes to harness all the Spotify functions. Shake em to mix things up, line em up to create a playlist, or even gift one to a friend as a customized mix-tape! Not the most portable option, but it’s a fun, interactive player that’s perfect on your desk or coffee table.

The Bell Sound speakers are an unconventional twist on home audio that are composed of super-strong parallam, an engineered wood material most often used in the construction industry. To contrast the natural wood tone, each speaker rests on a hand-turned aluminum base. Though modern in material, the elongated, exaggerated bell shape hints to the design’s original inspiration- the gramophone.

You Got That Super Bass, Ceramic Subwoofer

I wrote about Joey Roth’s Ceramic Speakers way back when and reviewed it. Hell, I even own a set connected to an Airport Express to enable Airplay. It’s been my main setup in the bedroom for years but due to Joey’s own desires to expand the line or calls to improve the speakers’ bass response, there’s an accompanying ceramic subwoofer to complete the setup. I’ve yet to hear it in person but plan to very soon post holiday shenanigans. Hit the jump for deets!
