I’ve actually been looking for a watch for a while now it just seems now that all the ones i seem to find are very old fashioned or are just too conceptual but this brings a great design to the market.I also found another one on this site i would like to see which is the one without a face (Aurora) that i also thought was a great idea.

I’d like to see Josh Chadwick’s Analog/Digital watch on Touch of Modern as well. I just love how it combines the two worlds of watches.
Jonas W. says
I wish they would make the Sand+Time Watch (Pixel Perfect Hour Glass – Watch) (and then sell it). It is a ‘timeless’ design and lets you easily see the flow of time. I have been fascinated by that design for a while now.
If you are looking for an existing design, I would go with the Qlocktwo W (Biegert&Funk) since it will appear this fall and shows time in a beautiful and slick way.

I would love to see them take in the Pebble watch from Kickstarter.

It will be reborn as new on the wrist every time you download a new function for it.

HD3 Slyde
https://www.hd3complication.com/en/
“Designed by Jorg Hysek Jr, son of famed French watchmaker Jorg Hysek, the stylish HD3 Slyde has an LED screen with a sapphire crystal cover that curves to conform to your wrist. With no physical buttons, the watch has just three battery indicator lights on the side and a light sensor to automatically adapt the brightness of the screen. Everything is controlled by taps or slides on the touchscreen. Sleek and sexy”

The ‘reveal watch’ is a great design, but could be executed a little better. There is an Issey Miyake watch that observes a similar design but is a bit too branded for my tastes.
In terms of fancy watches, F.P. Journe watches are both modern and classic and very elegant. i would love to own one one day.

I absolutely love the Chroma Watch from Projects Watches

It’s a beautiful watch that has a Munsell color wheel that ticks away like a kaleidoscope as the seconds pass. I have to agree with the watches tagline that it’s “architecture you can wear.”

I’m going with this gizmo right here:
Quiksilver The Ray Eco-Watch
described in the link below as:”Good for Star Wars fans, Japanese drug enthusiasts, and anyone needing to cover up their wrist scars.”
http://www.ugo.com/the-goods/quicksilver-ray-eco-watch-720
“Check this out: this watch requires no batteries at all and is made entirely from recyclable materials. Hand-crafted from real ebony wood direct from sustainable managed forests, this Wiccan surfer’s delight is the brainchild of the people at Quicksilver. Since it was made in a limited edition of less than 1000, they’re now incredibly hard to find. The cheapest one I can find will still run you over $700, so the chances of you bothering to recycle it at all are probably pretty slim.”

“Moonwatch has been designed to establish a relationship between the moon cycle and a person’s emotional states. It’s a new concept of time based on nature which invites people to reflect upon and gain a closer understanding of their mood and daily life on earth.”
I love this watch because its really simple and the watch straps is different from other watches. I think TouchOfModern really suits for this design.

What about a solar energy strap? I don’t know how delicate solar panels are, but I’m sure there is a way.
Citizen has the eco-drive solar panels behind the glass. I have a cheap version of that from Würth, and it works like a charm, since watches don’t need that much battery power to begin with, and getting new batteries for watches is as much a hassle as it is bad for the environment.
Cheers.

I think it would be awesome to see running tech on Touch of Modern. Specifically barefoot running shoes. The New Balance Minimus running shoes (http://www.newbalance.com/NB-Minimus/minimus,default,pg.html) bring the modern and advanced design of running to Touch of Modern. Running shoes are something most people haven’t thought to keep up on because it hasn’t progressed much until the barefoot running shoes arrived quite recently and are beginning to move from whimsical to serious. There are a few different brands now but the notable ones are Vibram and Merrell (the Minimus is a Vibram/New Balance collab). These are unique, functional, technologically advanced running/hiking/active shoes that seem, in my opinion, to be a perfect fit for Touch of Modern.
