Finger-ish Lamp
Gotta love this functionally simple, sharp looking LED table lamp by designer Michael Samoriz. The Phalanx consists of five moveable segments including one heavier base segment and one containing bright LED lights. Simply move them to adjust the lamp’s shape or the direction of the light. A little bit skeletal, and a little bit wormy… I dig it!

Looks like a scorpion’s tail. looks nice, wonder how you get the hinges stable enough to carry the weight of the lamp.

Yup, I can’t see those hinges working well either – a product/industrial designer should not forget about the technical believability. But maybe with some more thought this could be solved easily. Anyway, really neat visualizations (also the ones on your website)
