Mug in a Kettle

Kettle and Mug is an interesting concept that explores the relationship between two objects related by function. It stands to reason if you own a kettle, you probably own a mug too. In this concept, the mug sits inside the kettle as the water boils “heating the mug” in the process. Question is, doesn’t that leave the mug insanely hot to touch? I like this concept even though I don’t full comprehend the ergonomics behind it. Refine it a bit more and I think my interest can move from intrigue to buyer.

How do you get the mug out of the kettle without hurting your fingers?

  • Yoshiki says:

Having the handle as a unit that attaches to the mug after the heating process would solve the problem, which seems one obvious enough for the designer to have noticed it.
